Paul Bunyan & the Tall Tale Medicine Show @ Center for Puppetry Arts – Atlanta (ages 4+) $19.50/ticket Fri, Sat, Sun show honoring American History folk tales and fables. Create a Babe the Blue Ox Hand Puppet.

La Tortuga & The Hare @ Alliance Theater – Atlanta (ages 0 – 5) $10/person Saturday & Sunday Dance, movement, music, and bilingual storytelling, young children will engage in this classic folk tale in wholly imaginative and new ways.

Love Stories of Oakland: valentine’s day edition – Oakland (all ages) Saturday Valentine’s Day with a look back on some of Oakland Cemetery’s tales of everlasting love. Love Stories of Oakland recounts the loves, lives, and losses of Atlantans of days past.

Barbeque Nation @ Atlanta History Center – Buckhead (all ages) See Site for FEE Saturday & Sunday exhibition explores how barbecue has come to claim an enduring place at the American table, and how it connects us to cultures around the world, in addition to traditions, history, and the future.

MOVIE Maddness Association @ Buckhead Branch Library – Buckhead (all ages) See Site for FEE Saturday a basketball fan but love competition? Movie Maddness Association has the movies that will never go out of season. Each week from January through February, 8 movies will compete for your vote. While 2 selected movies will play at the library every week, patrons can place a Facebook ranking or paper-ballot ranking for each movie in order of 1-8. At the end of the eight weeks, all the movies compete in brackets according to their ranking where patrons can vote week by week for their favorite movies until we reach the final four. Who will win the Golden Popcorn Bucket?

Junior Chefs & KinderCooks @ Young Chefs Academy – Buckhead (ages 4 – 18) $35/classSaturday don’t have to give up your favorite comfort foods to eat healthy! All month, we’ll be sharing some of our culinary makeover tricks, tweaks and swaps that will turn some of the most popular dishes into a lighter, more delicious version of its former self.

Enchanted Woodland Trail: Featuring Fairy Houses and Gnome Homes @ Chattahoochee Nature Center – Roswell (all ages) See Site for FEE Fri, Sat, Sun and gnomes have bene busy building all new homes for the Enchanted Woodland Trail. Whimsical works line our trails. Walk the trail and see if you can spot them all.

North Point Mall Camp Expo – Alpharetta (all ages) FREE Saturday Saturday, February 9th, Atlanta Parent Magazine will host the first Camp Expo of 2019 at North Point Mall featuring many camps in Atlanta, the Southeast and beyond, camp representatives and former campers. You can meet representatives and former campers face-to-face as you plan for the summer.

Vickery Village Winter Farmers Market – Cumming (all ages) FREE Saturday mission of the Vickery Village Farmers Market is to provide access to fresh, high quality, locally-produced and healthy food products to the local community. All products offered at the market will be produced by local farmers and vendors and grown or produced using organic practices to the extent feasible.

Saturday Story Time @ Barnes & Noble – Cumming (all ages) FREE Saturday will read Pig the Pug, then join us at the café for a grilled cheese sandwich with milk or juice for $4.
