A self-proclaimed workout junkie, I’ve always been really active. After having my first child and placing my career on pause, I knew I wasn’t going to be comfortable putting my son in gym daycare, so I started researching other options and came across Fit4Mom. Honestly, it took me months to get the courage to drive the 30 minutes to attend my first class, and even though I was late - Jessica warmly welcomed me and I jumped right in.
It took a few months to get used to our new routine and regularly attend, but once we did, I never looked back! Fit4Mom provided me sanity and self care while serving in a full time volunteer role, set a great example of prioritizing health for my son, and brought me a village of amazing moms.
Once I became pregnant with my second child, I knew the importance of staying active and was determined to sustain my fitness. Regular Strides and Barre classes kept me in even better shape for my second pregnancy than my first and has made the postpartum journey much easier.
Yes, the workouts are awesome, yes, your kids gain some of their first friends, but perhaps the greatest thing about Fit4Mom is the community of diverse, supporting and loving friends. This is a no-judgement zone where we all believe in one another’s unique capabilities as mothers. I’m grateful for Fit4Mom and know my children and I have many wonderful memories ahead with our village!
