Mama of the Month: Rachael Paynter

Our July 2021 Mama of the Month is Rachael Paynter! She is a rockstar strong mama who you'll see at Strides360 and Strides classes, rocking some HEAVY free weights with two kids in tow. This dedicated mama has been part of our Village for years and we are so thankful for her.

Get to know Rachael better by checking out her fun answers below!

Tell us about your family: I got married to my husband Scott in 2016 and had my son in November 2017 and then my daughter in February 2020. I did his mother’s hair and she said that I needed to met her son. We met and it took off from there! Dated 1 year, engaged for 1 and then got married. We live in East Cobb and love our neighborhood! He owns a business and I stay home with the kids! We stay busy with sports and we travel a ton with our kids! We love our life together ❤️

Hometown: Windsor, Ontario Canada

Currently live in: East Cobb

Preferred Class Location: Dunwoody & Roswell

Current/Previous Career: I was a hairdresser for many years and owned a salon in Alpharetta for 12 years! I sold it when my son was 6 months old so I could be home.

Introvert or Extrovert? Extrovert! I love being around people and being social.

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us: I was a professional boxer for 3 years. I would train and do fights. I stopped right before I got pregnant.

Favorite exercise: I love it all! Not much into yoga or Pilates. I like to workout fast pace to give me energy!

Must-have baby product: Portable bassinet when they were babies! They would be able to sleep in the bed with me.

Favorite Food: Mexican!

How did you find FIT4MOM? Went to Little Acorns in Avalon and there was a table set up that said FIT4MOM and it caught my attention.

What do you love about FIT4MOM? I love the workouts and community. I love how we are all in different stages and can give help or advice if we need it because someone has been through that stage before us.

What does motherhood mean to you? I was told when I was 20 years old I couldn’t have children so when I found out I was pregnant at 36 years old, it was such a miracle. Motherhood teaches me patience and my kids teach me how to love life and cherish every minute of it because it goes by so fast.
