It’s Springtime in Atlanta…how’s everyone handling the pollen? Luckily we have some rain in the forecast for today (Friday) and Sunday, but Saturday looks GREAT. A little overcast, but no rain. There are a ton of local festivals happening around Atlanta…each and everyone worth driving to when it comes to making memories with your family.

Atlanta Fair @ Turner Field Gray Lot – Atlanta (all ages) Friday, Saturday, Sunday Atlanta’s only urban fair; bringing rides, games, fair foods, and entertainment.

Weekend Family Tours @ The High Museum of Art – Atlanta (all ages) FREE with admission Saturday & Sunday Docent guided family tour for all ages.

Baby Book Club @ The High Museum of Atlanta – Atlanta (newborn – 14months) FREE with Membership Saturday The more you talk, the more they learn! The High Museum of Art is the perfect place to start a conversation with your baby. Baby Book Club is designed for caregivers with infants from newborns through age 14 months. In each 20-minute session, a High Museum teaching artist will pair a book with an artwork to get you and your baby talking.

Grant Park Spring Market Opening Day – Atlanta (all ages) Sunday Local farmers market with all your weekly staples and your favorite regular market vendors.

Spring Festival on Ponce – Atlanta (all ages) Saturday & Sunday The Festival on Ponce is an Atlanta arts and crafts festival set in the historic park, Olmsted Linear Park. Visitors will enjoy the gorgeous landscape designed by one of America’s most celebrated landscape architects, Fredrick Olmsted Sr. along with over 125 displays of fine arts and crafts, folk and “outsider art”. In addition to the fine arts, there will be a children’s area and local food and beverage

Atlanta Streets Alive – Atlanta (all ages) Sunday The fun kicks off in Midtown, at the intersection of Peachtree Street and 16th Street at 1:30 pm where you can join in the official opening of the street followed by a parade of the route. The lineup begins at 1:30 pm for a 2:00 pm parade launch and street opening program. FREE bike decorations will be available while supplies last! After the opening program and kickoff parade, visit Activity Partners and Route Hosts along the route for a wealth of interactive experiences hosted by community organizations, local businesses, and our sponsors. You can explore the Open Street from end to end or enter and exit the route at any cross-street at any time during the four-hour activation.

Food-O-Rama Grant Park – Atlanta (all ages) Saturday Join us for the 4th Annual Food Truck festival in Historic Grant Park, right the heart of Atlanta! We will host food trucks from all over the Southeast, craft beers/ cocktails, local arts and crafts and live music

Little Critters Day @ Fernbank – Atlanta (all ages) Saturday Ring in spring with cute and cuddly baby animals and discover the new life in bloom with seasonal crafts and activities.

Northeast Atlanta

Peachtree Road Farmers Market – Buckhead (all ages) Saturday Local farmers market with all your weekly staples and your favorite regular market vendors.

Barbeque Nation @ Atlanta History Center – Buckhead (all ages) Friday, Saturday, & Sunday A traveling exhibition including a wide array of artifacts, images, and oral histories of barbeque.

Candytopia – Buckhead (all ages) Friday, Saturday, & Sunday An interactive art exhibition made of CANDY!!! Six rooms of amazing artwork made entirely of candy along with other surprises, including a “marshmallow” pit! Photo opportunities at every turn.

Slinging Wings @ Heritage Sandy Springs – Sandy Springs (all ages) Saturday & Sunday Restaurants from all over Atlanta will be slingin' chicken wings for your tasting pleasure! In addition to a full day of good eats, we've got an awesome lineup of frosty brews, live local music, plus wing eating contests and all your favorite tailgate games.

EcoTinker Exhibit @ Chattahoochee Nature Center – Roswell (all ages) Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Head outdoors this spring for nature-inspired tech and tinker stations – 5 stations where you can experiment and explore. Our exhibit stations focus on the science of water – how it moves, how it is used – there’s plenty to play with while you learn at our STEM stations. Expand your creative mind and your vocabulary when you visit ECO TINKER!

Vickery Village Farmers Market – Cumming (all ages) Saturday Local farmers market with all your weekly staples and your favorite regular market vendors.

Northwest Atlanta

Open Play @ SpringFree Experience Centers – Marietta (all ages) Saturday FREE Open Play for all ages inside their store. You can experience jumping on a spring free trampoline. Check out their merchandise while you are there.

Acworth Art Festival – Acworth (all ages) Saturday & Sunday The historic Main Street in downtown Acworth is a delightful backdrop for 100 whimsical and talented artisans from around the country. Their creative booth displays decorate the charming street with paintings, pottery, metalwork, folk art, glass, jewelry, yard art and much more!

Outside of Atlanta

Creekwater Alpaca Shop Weekends – Snellville (all ages) Saturday & Sunday Creekwater Alpaca Shop will be open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through March 3, 2019. Also we will be open February 13th and 14th for Valentine's Day! Please bring your family and friends to meet our sweet and kind Alpacas for FREE. We will continue our sock sale as well.

Spartan Kids @ Lake Lanier – Gainesville (ages 4 - 14) Saturday Obstacle Course for the kiddos to encourage active youth.
